What is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary and informal process whereby a third person (the Mediator) helps participants to try to resolve their differences or conflict so that they can continue with their work.
Mediation offers a safe, confidential space for participants to communicate with one another. The Mediator is bound by a Code of Ethics. S/he plays an essential neutral role in the process and explores the needs and concerns of the participants. S/he encourages communication and helps the participants to find a solution to the conflict where possible; one to which they both agree.
How long does it take?
Mediation can involve one or more sessions. This will depend on a number of factors. It may be that the participants will come to the conclusion that agreement is impossible. However, it should be said that mediation has an excellent success rate. For further information on mediation please contact us on (01) 658 6808 or through our contact form.
